I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.” ~ John 10:10
Sweet Sister, I am glad you are here. I don’t know about you, but I need some time together, in fellowship, with others who adore my Abba Father as the whole being of their soul.
Last month was a roller coaster. As usual, I wasn’t sure I would make it. But, alas, I did. He always gets me through, even if I have some tears or frustrations along the way.
Let me take this time to introduce you to our monthly Coffee Time together.
Here’s your cup. I’ve got mine.
There is so much happening in the world right now, and with it all I sometimes feel like my heart could buckle under the weight. Darkness pervades. Evil persists. The night is black.
Where is the dawn? When is the new day? Come Lord!
Yet, here we are. In the midst of it all, the chaos, the noise…the ugly. And we are charged with seeing through His eyes, or at least learning to do so…or attempting to do it with the best we have to offer within ourselves.
I don’t know about you, but I am regularly trying to wipe my eyes clear. Sometimes it feels like the dust of life gets the speck right in there and I cannot get it out, no matter how hard I try! My soul can so heavily resonate with the notion that Yeshua (Jesus) shares when he proclaims, “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” (Matt. 26:41).
My spirit yearns to do what pleases my Abba. My flesh? …Wants to run and bolt in the other direction the moment that discomfort and annoyance arise.
So, I’m holding my eyes hostage in the Spirit. You’re welcome to tag along.
I want to be cleansed of this wretchedness, but resolutely my spirit knows that the final cleansing will not happen this side of heaven.
Ok, Abba. Keep the baths coming. I’ll try not to get too muddy.
Below are some of the beautifully imperfect and delightfully human things that sweetened my soul this week. I hope they sweeten yours, too.
Beauty in His Creation:
Promises from our Shepherd:
Laughter Makes Us Stronger:
A Word Aptly Spoken…
“Be Still and Know that I am God.”
We don’t have enough promotion of the beautiful mess within the contours of our world. We definitely show plenty of the “beautiful” and plenty of the mess, but rarely the beautiful within the mess.
It is my hope that in this post on the first Friday of every month to do exactly this and shine a Light onto the beautiful mess and perfect imperfection twisted up within the fabric of this temporary existence on earth.
We need more.
Vulnerable. Exposed. Needy. Uncovered. Naked. Open.
The darkness twists the beautiful brokenness to make it ugly. The darkness shines a beam on the flesh and hides the inner person. To our Abba, though, the flesh fades away.Internal is what is eternal. Click To Tweet
The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” ~ 1 Sam. 16:7
May we reflect together, cry together, stand in awe together, laugh together, and encourage one another; for this is the mark of the Body.
